The Problem
Lock snapping, or cylinder snapping, and the problem with euro cylinder door locks.
Burglars have discovered what the locksmith and hardware industry have known for years. It doesn’t matter how many hook or dead bolts you have on your door, the weak point is the cylinder lock.
Due to inherent weakpoints in the door cylinder lock, having little material to give robust strength and the screw fixing enhancing this weakness, using simple tools, a burglar can “snap” the cylinder and gain access to the door mechanism and open the door – in seconds!
The Solution
The solution is ‘Snap Secure Technology’ that blocks out intruders, featuring:
Break-off Front
Sacrificial fornt section which breaks off when the lock is attacked. By doing this you can still use the lock by using the key on the remaining part of the cylinder.
‘Snap Secure Technology’
This takes lock security to a totally new level by locking the cam into position if the second portion of the ABS lock has been snapped.
A Total Barrier!
If the first 2 sections are removed in an attack, the patented locking cam and blocking mechanism provides a total barrier against entry.
